WESTSIDE KIDZ
Growing Roots. Building Faith. Following Jesus.
There's a place for your kids at Westside.
At Westside Kidz, we want every child who walks through our doors to know they are seen, loved, and valued—by us and, most importantly, by God.
We're creating a place where kids can be kids, build friendships, ask questions, have fun, discover who Jesus is, and learn to love God's Word.
Whether your child has grown up in church, is full of questions, or is hearing about Jesus for the very first time—
There's a place for them here.
A PLACE TO BELONG
We believe kids aren't just the future of the church. They're an important part of the church right now.
That's why our children spend part of Sunday morning worshiping alongside the entire Westside church family.
After Sunday School, kids join their families for worship and communion before being dismissed for Kidz Church.
In Kidz Church, they'll experience:
Bible Teaching • Worship • Games • Scripture • Prayer • Activities • Fun
We want kids to laugh and have fun, but we also want them to leave knowing something more about who God is, what His Word says, and what it means to follow Jesus.
A PLACE TO GROW
Our mission is to lead children to discover the life of Jesus, memorize and treasure Scripture, and develop a resilient faith that grows roots in God's truth and bears fruit in their daily lives.
We don't simply want children to know Bible stories.
We want them to know the God of the Bible.
We want them to feel comfortable asking hard questions, searching Scripture for answers, praying for one another, and gradually making their faith their own.
Because we're not simply preparing kids for next Sunday.
We're helping them build a faith they can carry for a lifetime.
A PLACE TO BE KNOWN
One of the things we value most at Westside is relationship.
We want to know your child's name.
We want to know what makes them laugh, what they're interested in, what they're learning, what questions they're asking, and when they need a little extra encouragement.
Every child matters to God.
And every child matters to us.
Our desire is for every child who comes to Westside Kidz to feel:
SAFE. LOVED. KNOWN.

NEW HERE?
Your first Sunday doesn't have to feel awkward.
We know walking into a new church—especially with children—can feel intimidating.
When you arrive at Westside, we'll help you find where you need to go, introduce you and your child to our Westside Kidz team, and answer any questions you may have.
If your child is nervous, that's okay.
If they're quiet, that's okay.
If they're energetic, that's okay too!
They don't have to fit a certain mold to fit in at Westside.
We'll meet them where they are and help them feel comfortable becoming part of our Westside Kidz family.
MORE THAN SUNDAY MORNING
Some of the best memories happen when we're simply spending time together.
Throughout the year, Westside Kidz offers special opportunities for children and families to connect through:
Vacation Bible School • Family Events • Seasonal Celebrations • Community Outreach • Special Kidz Activities
It's another way we're helping children discover that church isn't simply somewhere we go.
It's a family we get to be part of.
HI, I'M KELLY!
I'm Kelly Truett, and I have the privilege of serving as the Children's Ministry Director at Westside Christian Church.
I believe some of the most important seeds of faith are planted during childhood, and I love getting to be part of that process.
I want kids to know that their questions are welcome, God's Word can be trusted, Jesus loves them deeply, and following Him can shape every part of their lives.
One of my greatest joys is watching children begin to understand biblical truth, memorize Scripture, pray for one another, and make their faith their own.
I also believe children's ministry works best when the church and parents work together. It's a privilege to come alongside families as they help their children grow into lifelong followers of Jesus.
I'd love to meet you and your kids!

Maybe you're looking for a church where your family won't simply attend—
but will actually be known.
Whatever brought you here, we'd love the opportunity to meet your family.
Come learn.
Come laugh.
Come grow.
Come belong.
Come discover Jesus.
