Linda Nichols    Secretary, Music Director, Children's Ministry

Linda graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelor's Degree in 1971. A few years later, she went into the Master's program at the University of Central Oklahoma. In 1991, she completed the Master's program in English with an emphasis on writing.

Linda worked at Cherokee Hills Christian Church in Oklahoma City as church secretary to the Christian Education and Music Minister and to the Youth Minister from 1981 - 1989. In 1997, after a few years of raising teenagers, she become part of the team at The Kids' Place, a grief support group center in Edmond, Oklahoma, for children who have lost a family member through death. In 2004 when a local Edmond church assumed leadership of The Kids' Place, Linda returned home to care for grandchildren.

Throughout the years, Linda has been involved in many different ministries. For several years at Cherokee Hills, Linda was the Children's Music Director for the elementary children and then the preschoolers. She also led Kids' Activity Time (K.A.T.), a Sunday evening group for children. In addition, she created a Ladies' Trio called Jubilee and participated regularly in the adult choir. On February 1, 2004, Linda and her husband, Stan, joined Westside Christian Church. In 2006, she volunteered to take on the leadership of the Children's Ministry at Westside, which became a paid staff position in 2008.

Stan and Linda met as teenagers and were married in 1969. They have a son, Robert, and a daughter, Jamie. Robert gave Linda and Stan three adopted grandchildren, and Jamie gave them two grandchildren.

Linda's husband, Stan, is the sound technician for the church, a deacon, and invaluable partner in all that Linda does.
